okay well this has been a waste of a day. i woke up, ate breakfast and slept until one. then we had a family meeting concerning allowance (asdfskadjfhie) and i've just been dicking around online for the past two hours. pretty soon i need to go for a short swim but i can't seem to get myself motivated. today has been a perfect example of how i have so much time to get things done over these breaks and never take advantage of it!

at my dad's house i got an invitation to apply to some research thing at mit next summer. it looks HELL OF hard to get into, way out of my league, but it's free (they pay for everyone who is admitted) and seems like a pretty cool experience, so i'm going to apply. of course chances are that i won't get in, so i really need to find something else to do next summer. something for not a whole lot of money. any suggestions?

in other news, i went to kit's last night but left after like ten minutes because i was severely exhausted. as usual, i got extremely lost on the way there because her street sign was very hidden (haha, like that is a viable excuse). so i just kept going down skyline. after a while i realized i had probably passed her street, but being the curious cat that i am, i really wanted to know where skyline led. so i drove, and i drove, and i drove into the wilderness of the oakland hills, until finally the wooded road i was on spit me out into civilization. and guess where i was? Bishop O'dowd! it was so weird. i almost got to san leandro by just going through the oakland hills!! no freeway or anything. oh man i love just driving around and finding new places like that...it's a mini adventure!

also...i REALLY REALLY want to see "Avenue Q" in New York.

and finally..who wants to go (christmas) shopping with me this afternoon? i'm thinking broadway plaza because i need a good dose of barnes and nobles, as well as yogurt park!
