* What did you do in 2004 that you've never done before?
got my license
got a car
got an atm card
took ap tests
lived away from home for five weeks
became an nvs
turned sixteen
lived in two houses
moved twice
smoked the ghanga
kissed a chick
integrated and differentiated
got invisalign
had a party at my house...and got caught much more but lets not make this more boring that it already is.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember what they were, but i feel like i did somethings that my 2003 self would have been proud of. of course, my 2003 self, just like my 2004 self, has very high expectations so probably is not completely satisfied and would never say that any resolutions were completely kept.

no, thank god

what countries did you visit?
mexico...none others, quite sadly. (although spain and germany should be on there dammit. eck, we won't go into those.)

what would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
a boy perhaps? more money, more time, something amazing and completely unexpected, whiter teeth.

what date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
july 3rd to august 7 (asa), may 7 (first ap test. lol. i will just always remember how nervous we got over something that wasn't such a huge deal and how christine and i left campus like 3 times to go get gas, jamba etc.), june 6th (end of soph year), sept 1st (beginning of jr year), nov 2nd (booooush!) a lot of other significant stuff happended but i cannot remember the dates. if i actually think about them and their orientation i could tell you, but my brain is temporarily functioning on low.

what was your biggest achievement of the year?
getting healthy back to swimming. become more social. getting more involved with tutoring. becoming more well adjusted in general.

what was your biggest failure?
getting so worked up over things or obsessive that i missed some fabulous opportunities.

did you suffer illness or injury?
hmm...depression, anorexia (although this year i guess not..maybe that ednos business...anyay...some sort of disorder but nothign as bad as 03), my weird wrist problem, headaches.

what was the best thing you bought?
my car...but i guess father bought that. i guess best thing i bought would probably be my harvard sweatshirt just because it is so big and warm and comfy and i wear it ALL the time. (of course that leads to a lot of "oh, so you want to go to harvard?" remarks in which i have to say no i just like the sweatshirt).

who's behavior merited celebration?

where did most of your money go?
I don't know! good question! probably abercrombie, text messaging, diet coke, starbucks and barnes and nobles.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
the summer!, the great gatsby, friends, the o.c., my license and car

what song will always remind you of 2004?
any rent song, lfo, california here we come, me and mia, someone's watching over me, ben harper, dispatch, hmm...a lot of songs i suppose.

compared to this time last year, are you: Happier or sadder?

poorer, fo sho!!! (that one deserved three exclamation points)

what do you wish you'd done more of?
reading, playing saxaphone, spending time with friends, not stressing out, trying to keep in touch with people, being true to myself (corny, i know).

aim, tv, freaking over out stupid things, therapy

how will you be spending Christmas?
you know new york, you need new york, you know you need unique new york.

did you fall in love in 2004?
with things, and platonically with people. not in the sense that this probably means.

the o.c.! (also answers the questions of "wht was your only tv program?"

do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i don't think i really hate anyone.

what was the best book you read?
middlesex, great gatsby, best friends stick together (that was the picture book i got kirin!)

too many to name!

car, license, more freedom, friends, ass, swimming.

spain, money, time

garden state, mean girls, harold and kumar, eternal sunshine, goodbye lenin

what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
i went to school and went swimming. i was sixteen.

what could have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
that's not a good thing to think about. it promotes dissatisfaction. although i'm sure there are a lot of things that would suffice for this quesiton.

what kept you sane?
summer, friends, swimming, the occasional drink, driving

the videos, abortion, gay marriage, elections

everyone from the summer, everyone who went off to college, hilary, alex

sarah k, sarah p, melissa, mike, nikki, (a whole bunch of people at a.s.a.!), kit rutter!!
